I’ve been thin my entire life. Curvy but thin. Then this thing called turning 25 happened and I GOT FAPPY – in case you’re not familiar with the term, FAPPY – verb – is when you are fat and happy.
Except then… I wasn’t. For as far back as I can remember I’ve struggled with my body image, eating as little as possible during college and working out like a feen, I was the thinnest I’ve ever been in college.
It wasn’t until this last year (and turning 30) That for the first time in my life, I can honestly say I am OK with WHO I AM! I am curvy. I like French Fries and Pizza. I enjoy cocktails and I am NEVER one to turn down pretzel sticks or buffalo chicken dip…
But over the last 18 months, I’ve found the products that help me shed the few lbs I’ve wanted to lose and now I’m working on getting FIT and making better decisions when it comes to my diet… But let me set one thing straight. I am NOT on a diet. I don’t believe in them anymore and after years of fad diets, they’re just not for me! Especially since I don’t cook its impossible to maintain and a nightmare for my lifestyle, so I make good choices when I can and go about my life!
My hubs and I go to the gym 5 days a week and I am so grateful for him for helping motivate me to get there and being my gym buddy! If you are struggling to get to the gym or MOVE yo bod, FIND a buddy! Whether thats your mom, friend, SO or someone you meet at the gym! Having someone to go there with or meet there makes it harder to back out…. In my case, I know I will get a ” ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO SLEEP AND NOT WORK OUT TODAY” wake up call, so you bet your ass I’m getting up and going 7:30 am Monday through Friday!
The number on the scale doesn’t define me… The way I feel in my clothes and my skin does!
Feeling good about yourself is ALL that matters, and I’m here to shut down that stigma that people only use “weight loss products” to lose weight! Because they don’t just make you lose weight, you have to WANT to lose weight to actively achieve that goal… What they do-do is help you maintain your weight, while still enjoying your life and the foods you love (in moderation of course, don’t bindge McDonalds every day, drink skinny coffee and expect to not gain 100 lbs) or just feel more energized or glow from the inside out. J
JUST because I am with a health and wellness company doesn’t mean I’m telling the world everyone needs to lose weight… I’m telling the world I can HELP YOU feel good about yourself, whatever that looks like!
This is me feeling the BEST I’ve ever felt and thats all thanks to those good old basics of nutrition and exercise and a glass of wine and a slice of pizza!
